Creator Integration - Privacy Notice (TikTok)

Effective: 8 July 2026

This notice supplements the SCNX Privacy Policy and applies specifically to the TikTok integration of SCNX Creator Integration. For our general data-processing practices, subprocessors, infrastructure, and contact information, see the SCNX Privacy Policy at scootk.it/scnx-privacy.

The terms used are not gender-specific.

§ 1 Scope

(1) This notice covers the connection of a TikTok account to SCNX Creator Integration and the subsequent reading of publicly available TikTok content to relay to Discord communities that have configured SCNX to follow that account.

(2) Everything not addressed below - in particular general processing practices, infrastructure providers, international transfers, the legal bases on which we rely, data-subject rights procedures, and contact channels - is governed by the main SCNX Privacy Policy at scootk.it/scnx-privacy.

§ 2 What we read from your TikTok account

(1) When you sign in with TikTok, we typically receive:

• (a) your public profile (username, display name, profile picture, public profile link);
• (b) your recent public videos (titles, captions, thumbnails, post dates, and links back to the video on TikTok).

(2) We do not see, store, or process:

• (a) your TikTok password (you sign in on TikTok, not on a page we operate);
• (b) drafts, direct messages, private videos, or anything else you have not made public on TikTok;
• (c) analytics or behavioural data about people who view the resulting Discord notifications.

§ 3 Where it goes

(1) Notifications appear in Discord communities that have asked the SCNX bot to follow you. Each notification links back to TikTok so viewers watch on your TikTok page, with your usual ads and analytics intact.

(2) We do not host, re-encode, or re-upload your videos. The notification contains only metadata and a link to the original on TikTok.

(3) Discord communities that subscribe to your notifications operate independently and are responsible for how they display your content to their members. See § 7.

§ 4 How long we keep it

(1) We keep your connection while it remains active. If you delete your connection from your SCNX creator dashboard, we remove the associated data promptly - the deletion takes effect immediately, with no grace window. If you instead disconnect by revoking SCNX in TikTok's app permissions, we stop reading and processing your account.

(2) Behind-the-scenes operational logs (for security, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting) are kept briefly and may be retained for longer in anonymised or aggregated form.

(3) Where statutory retention obligations apply, we retain the relevant data for the period required by law and restrict it from other use.

§ 5 How to disconnect

(1) You can disconnect at any time from your SCNX creator dashboard, or by revoking SCNX in TikTok's app permissions. Both stop us reading your account. If you choose the "delete" option in the dashboard, we immediately and permanently remove the associated data in line with § 4; if you revoke in TikTok, we stop processing straight away.

(2) Existing notifications already delivered to Discord communities are outside our control after delivery; the relevant Discord community decides whether to keep or remove them.

§ 6 Subprocessors and infrastructure

(1) The TikTok integration relies on the same providers as the rest of the SCNX service. For the current list of subprocessors, hosting providers, and the legal bases for international transfers, please refer to the subprocessor section of the main SCNX Privacy Policy at scootk.it/scnx-privacy.

(2) In addition, this integration involves TikTok itself as the source of the data we read on your behalf. TikTok’s own handling of your data is governed by TikTok’s privacy policy.

§ 7 Downstream Discord communities

(1) Discord communities that subscribe to your notifications operate independently and are responsible for how, where, and to whom they display your content on their own Discord servers.

(2) We have no operational control over a notification once it has been delivered to a Discord community.

§ 8 Your rights

(1) EU/EEA creators have rights under the GDPR, including the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and to object to processing.

(2) To exercise these rights, please use the channels listed in the main SCNX Privacy Policy. Disconnecting your TikTok in the dashboard is the fastest way to stop processing.

§ 9 Age

(1) TikTok requires users to meet a minimum age. We rely on TikTok's age verification and do not knowingly process data of creators below TikTok's minimum age.

§ 10 Changes

(1) We may update this notice. Material changes will appear here with a new effective date.
